Hunting
at Barker Bay Resort & Outposts!
 Bear Hunt
The
season opens on August 15th and by this time we have been feeding
the bears for several weeks. We normally hunt until the end of
September and welcome both rifle and bow hunters. We have a 250
square Kilometer Bear Management Area where
only our guests are allowed to hunt. Many of our bait areas are located
off old logging roads and accessibility to some is recommended with
ATVs. If you have a four wheeler we advise you to bring it, or
we can bring you to your stand in our 6 passenger wheeler. If
you
have a favorite stand, you are welcome to bring it. Also, the
fall fishing is great and would make a great filler between hunting.

With our Bear Hunt we provide:
Lodging
Personal familiarization and transportation as needed to and from the
bait sites
Gutting and skinning
Freezer storage

You will need to bring:
Licenses
Hunting Gear
Four Wheeler, if you wish
Tree Stand, if you wish
Hunter Orange Vest or Coat and Hat
Fishing Gear

Please make sure that you become familiar with the Canadian Hunting
Laws, as this is your responsibility.

2010 Whitetail Deer Hunt

We will be offering guided and non-guided
Whitetail Deer hunts in 2010.
For those wanting guided
hunts, we
will provide lodging, scouted areas and
stands, transportation to
stands, assistance with gutting/skinning, and freezer storage.
For those wanting non-guided hunts, we provide lodging and
freezer
storage. American and Housekeeping plans available for both
guided and
non-guided plans. If you have a wheeler you are welcome to bring
it, if you don't for the
guided plans we will bring you to your stands with our 6 passenger
wheeler.

Due to the late fall season, the water in the cabins is shut off, but
lake water is brought to your cabin, a wood fired sauna is available
and there is an outhouse on each side of the camp. |
